A Virgin Stayed - 1966

I wrote this book during a near death battle with scarlet fever in 1966. Rewritten in 2005. It is a coming of age story. A Virgin Stayed is a rewrite of my true life experiences with a magician and his assistant while attending Nyack Prep boarding school for boys in Southampton, New York. It is just such an unbelievable story that it never received any offers from publishers. It is now re-done a fiction and I took liberties in order to make the tale live truthful in your imagination. September 1967, a 16 year old preppie goes off to another boarding school after being expelled from La Salle Military Academy. His summer spent as a popular local rich boy with a car, but lacking in social skills especially among the girls. An above average and disciplined student, his past problems dealt him an unjust turn. Depressed, confused and lonely, he gets in with the wrong crowd.  A tough bunch who pits the school against the local teens. One day while holding court at a local soda jerk, he meets Frank Powers who captures his intrigue because Frank reveals ancient truths to the scholarly leaning boy. Over a matter of time Frank Powers informs him that he is an assistant to a modern day magician, Kamp Foruntato. He is introduced to the magi, however, the magician and his young assistant have more than interesting truths to reveal to the 16 year old. They require a male virgin to be offered to Satan in a roust to end a curse placed upon the magician.
